He has a stellar reputation as an extremely skilled trial attorney who conducts himself with integrity as well as an attorney who has always maintained the highest standards of professionalism. Frank Lamothe has tried and won numerous multi-million dollar cases during his career in federal and state courts throughout the country including Louisiana, Arizona, Florida, and Mississippi. Frank Lamothe has earned his reputation through superior trial skills and verdicts won through diligence, hard work, and experience. As one trial consultant commented: “You are a no-nonsense, business-like, precise courtroom practitioner who asks questions in a straight-forward and rapid manner. You relentlessly draw out a witness until you secure all information needed or required and you methodically pursue your agenda regardless of irritation, interruption or pressure.” Mr. Lamothe receives frequent referrals from other attorneys who appreciate his vast trial experience in personal injury and business litigation. As one colleague said: “Frank is one of the finest trial lawyers in the United States. He is also a shining example of what it means to be a true professional: dedicated to helping others, unfailingly polite to fellow attorneys and members of the public, diligent in all cases he undertakes.” Another referring colleague commented: “I would like to express how grateful I am to you for agreeing to co-counsel my oil drilling case. When I met you at the trial lawyers’ conference in Montreal, I knew you were a great lawyer but had no idea how accomplished you really were. I have been practicing law since 1979, have been around many excellent trial lawyers. Without question, you are at a completely higher level and without question the best trial attorney I have ever been associated with. I sincerely mean that but for you the resolution of our case would have had far less 0’s in the final settlement number. In addition, I completely enjoyed the process which as you know is extremely stressful and time-consuming. All I can say is that you are the Peyton Manning of the trial bar….I highly recommend you to anyone who has a large case and needs the expertise of a superstar.” Frank Lamothe is known for working diligently to find justice for sexual abuse and assault survivors. He was instrumental in settling a group of clergy sex abuse cases for over $5 million. He has also lectured on sex abuse in Louisiana and authored a paper entitled “Sex Abuse in Louisiana.” He has also been involved in legal education. He taught Trial Advocacy at the Tulane University School of Law, the Paul F. Hebert School of Law at Louisiana State University, and the School of Law at Loyola University in New Orleans. He has served on numerous seminar programs and has lectured at a large number of continuing legal education programs in the areas of maritime personal injury and death claims, and a variety of subjects relating to his trial practice. Among his civic activities, Frank Lamothe recently created the Lamothe Charitable Fund, which is primarily dedicated to disadvantaged children’s causes.
